We're teaming up with Salena Steele of 139made to bring you a weaving class!
This two hour class is for the crafty and non-crafty alike. You will be learning the basics of weaving, with a twist. You don't need an expensive loom or the many tools that can accessorize the weaving process. All you need is a block of wood, some nails and a hammer, scissors, a weaving needle, a fork, and of course YARN. In this class, you will be provided a pre-made wooden loom block, that will have a sawtooth attachment in the back for you to hang on your wall at home. You will also be provided with all the necessary tools listed above. You will learn about how to make your own loom at home, where to find supplies, and how to get started on the loom. We discuss different types of yarn, setting up your loom, and then...you will weave. There will be many colors available for you to choose from, so don't fret, we'll make sure your finished piece matches your home.
You'll receive one on one guidance as you weave and learn the different techniques of weaving. And at the end, you have a piece to call your own! Supplies for future projects can be purchased at the end of the class from the instructor.
