With Cincinnati as a vibrant hub of music, we were so thrilled to team up with Banded PR to host a record pop up at our studio space. Those who came to expand their record collection found a variety of vinyl-everything from original Beatles albums to vinyl made for local Cincinnati bands.
Music vendors from the area included Soul Step Records, Bassline Syndicate, Jon Lorenz, Jeff Wilson, Soul Over Ego, and Coffee Beans with Becca. They all showed such enthusiasm and passion over their collections- talking with guests about their favorite albums and sharing stories of past record finds. Those who love and understand the experience of putting on a record know there is a certain nostalgia created when finding a favorite artist or band. Whether a new or lifelong collector, it was truly great to watch everyone find something special to take home and add to their own collection.
Our friends from Felix Coffee provided two high quality styles of pour-overs including Café Diego and Chanchamayo Highland. This duo has simplified a way of making a really good cup of coffee while still taking the time to explain their process and intention for the craft. We also had Lil’s Bagels with us who has perfected the bagel game. They provided everyone with delicious, homemade, local ingredient bagels that pair with cream cheese spreads. We can’t wait to have them both back at The Frock to taste more of their delicious pours and bites.
In addition, all proceeds from admission went to the Aruna Project- a nonprofit working to bring freedom to sexually exploited women in India through employment marked by holistic care. Based in Cincinnati, we are so happy to contribute towards such a good cause.
A huge thanks to all who came out to support our event and to Banded PR for making it all happen. If you’re interested in collaborating on a future event at The Frock or learning more about our space, we’d love to hear from you so please feel free to contact us! - Danielle
